At Byrd Davis Furman, located in Austin, all of our attorneys are trial lawyers and some have been recognized as The Best Lawyers in America. They have served as briefing attorneys to the Supreme Court of Texas, have been elected Fellows in the American College of Trial Lawyers and are Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Certification.
Our partners have been leaders in the trial bars of both the State of Texas and the nation, serving as president of the American Trial Lawyers Association and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. Additionally, we have led the aviation sections of various national legal organizations and regularly speak and author papers for continuing legal education programs as well as teaching at the University of Texas School of Law.
Highly skilled in settlement negotiations, mediation technique, pre-trial discovery, trials and appeals, our attorneys have tried cases in federal and state district courts throughout the country. We have argued cases on appeal before the United States Supreme Court, six different United States Courts of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Texas and all fourteen Texas Circuit Courts of Appeals.

James H. Furman With a significant practice in Aviation Law, Mr. Furman has represented hundred of families in suits arising out of airline, commuter, general aviation and military air disasters.
