Derek L. Davis is Of Counsel to Byrd Davis Furman & Alden.
Mr. Davis represents businesses and individuals in commercial litigation. Mr. Davis has represented clients across of the spectrum of business litigation: partnership disputes, licensing disputes, officer and director liability cases, breaches of contract, fraud in real estate transactions, home owner association litigation, and breaches of product distribution agreements.
Mr. Davis frequently represents clients in the appellate courts of Texas and other states. He is available both as lead counsel and as a consultant in the appeal of business and personal injury litigation. Mr. Davis has also been recognized as a “Rising Star” for his appellate work in 2004. Only 2.5% of attorneys in Texas are recognized as Rising Stars. Rising Stars are chosen by Thomson Reuters and published in Texas Monthly magazine.
Derek L. Davis graduated with honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 1995. He graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. In addition to practicing law, Mr. Davis has served as president of Tablerock Real Estate Investments, Inc., a residential real estate and investment company.
