Byrd Davis Furman traces its roots to Tony Byrd, who founded our law firm in 1959 with the goal of representing injured clients. Mr. Byrd believed that the clients’ best interests could be served by taking their cases before a jury of their peers where they could be fully compensated for the injuries sustained.

In the late 1950’s and early 1960s when only a few national firms had the competency to handle product liability, aviation and complex medical litigation, our firm stood at the forefront of developing personal injury law. In the course of our history, our attorneys have successfully represented injured plaintiffs against almost every major manufacturer in the United States, foreign corporations and nearly all of the major aircraft and helicopter manufacturers in the world. The firm has obtained recoveries for victims of government, local public entities, hospitals and drug manufacturers’ wrongdoing.

Today Byrd Davis Furman carries on our founder’s goals. Our concentration in personal injury and is complemented by our added focus in the area of business litigation and defense.
