Eric D. Cuellar

Eric Cuellar is a trial attorney with proven results in the courtroom. While in law school at Berkeley, Eric was a member of their mock trial team, one of the premier mock trial teams in the country. After graduating from Berkeley Law, Eric did not waste any time getting in the courtroom and living his dream of being a trial lawyer. He began his career as an Assistant District Attorney for the Bexar County District Attorney's Office where he had an unprecedented trial record. After having success trying DWI cases, Eric moved to the Family Violence Division. In that unit, Eric developed a passion for helping victims of domestic violence. He took on the toughest cases, working late nights and weekends to overcome challenges. Because of his hard work, many victims of domestic violence now live free of fear and abuse. Eric's compassion and work-ethic led to record setting results. He won his first eleven jury trials in the Family Violence Division. The unit generally wins only 50% of cases statewide. The eleven consecutive trial victories were the most trials won in a row in the Family Violence Division in more than 20 years. Eric credits his trial success to his passion for helping people and seeking justice for victims. Eric brings the same passion for helping people to Byrd Davis Alden & Henrichson, LLP.

Eric is originally from San Antonio. He attended the University of Texas at Austin where he graduated with honors. At UT, he was a member of the Texas Blazers Service Organization and President of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity. He left Texas for law school and attended The University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. While at Berkeley, he was a member of the La Raza Law Students Association and Berkeley Technology Law Journal.

Outside of the office, Eric enjoys cheering on the Texas Longhorns and San Antonio Spurs. He is an avid runner, finishing his first marathon in 2016. Eric also enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his family.
